The fear of Jonah

March 13, 2010. (Sat) 2:00 a.m.

[During the predawn prayer, I remember that God once had said to me, “You are like Jonah at this moment.” At that time, I was full of fear. So I asked today why God had said that I was like Jonah and God spoke as the following.]

* The Words of God *
Jonah was a prophet whom I loved.
He was frank and I truly had expectation in him with My will on him.
The reason why I told you that you were like Jonah was that your fear was like that of Jonah.
Jonah ended up running away because he could not bear the fear, didn’t he?

Do you know why Jonah was fearful?
The fear came from his ‘human-centered thoughts.’
He thought, judged, and concluded, ‘I cannot do it,’ on his own.
How great the fear was that he turned his back on the mission that I, Jehovah, gave him and he fled!

As for fear, the more you feel it, the bigger it becomes, like a balloon.
Eventually, it becomes ‘poison’ that completely paralyzes your body.
For this reason, when fear becomes too big for them to bear, they avoid the situation and flee.

There is a fear that comes from one’s own judgment and a fear that satan gives.
Both fears disappear when you boldly take action.
When you take action, a will is fulfilled; when you take action, a wonder takes place.

(Dear God, why did Jonah get angry that You did not judge the city of Nineveh?)

He got angry because his heart was different from Mine.
He got angry because his thoughts were different from how I worked.

At first when I, Jehovah, told him to go to Nineveh
He was really afraid to go to the land of gentiles, so he fled.
But in the end, he overcame the fear and preached My words.
When Nineveh repented to hear his words,
[Jonah] became angry because their reaction was different from what he had thought.
He became upset and annoyed to realize that he had been fearful for no reason.

Fear is an illusion.
The more you have it, the bigger it becomes. But actually, it is nothing.
Therefore, snuff it with action.
Fear is something that you can defeat with strong mentality.
Fear disappears when you actually face it.

If Jonah had not taken action, caught up in his own thoughts to the end
He would have lived driven by fear.
Action is a must.
Even if fear comes upon you, if you take action, your boldness becomes great and you can push forward.
What can defeat fear
What can overcome yourself
What can overcome your own thoughts
That is action!

My beloved, be bold.
What is truly fearful and dreadful is to confine yourself in your own thoughts.
You are capable! You can take action with your mind and heart.

If your mind thinks that you can do it, there is nothing you cannot do;
If your mind thinks that you can defeat, there is nothing you cannot defeat.
You can do it because I, Jehovah, am with you.
You can win. So let us truly take action to win.
I sincerely bless you to become a person who defeats fear.
